And now, a poetry break

April 23, 2008

While the ITs are on spring break, Little IT would like to share a poem with you.

Nature is Everywhere

by Little IT

Nature is all
around you.
Every morning I
wake up to birds
Chirp, chirp.
When it rains,
I hear a
splashing noise.
Splash, splash.
Everywhere I
see flowers
except in Winter.

I love that she added that caveat at the bottom.  “Except in Winter.”  Nature is good, but not in Winter.

Really quite profound when you dissect it: “Nature is All”, “wake up to birds”, “see flowers blooming” – very nice! Kind of a mandate.

I also like the cadence of the “Every morning I”, “Everywhere I” and “chirping. Chirp., chirp”, “splashing. Splash, splash.”

well, we can see that the little “it” did not fall far from the it tree.
