One of the questions that came up at the BlogHer Blog to Book and Back Again session was involving content. Namely:
Can blog content be put right into a book? Should it?
Are there rights issues? Legal issues between who owns what content?
Do publishers want to see unique content in a book, and if so, how much?
Jim Minatel, editorial director for Wiley’s Wrox Press was kind enough to answer these questions from his perspective. As the editor on Robert Scoble’s and Shel Israel’s Naked Conversations, a book that not only came about because of a blog but was created on a blog, Jim has a unique perspective that can benefit anyone looking to turn their blog into something more. Thanks Jim!
